Nicksy
Nicksy is one of the biggest names in North West radio, he’s been in the business since he was a ‘wee bairn’ as they say in his native Newcastle. He’s worked on just about every station you can think of, but is probably most famous for his 6 year stint as breakfast show presenter on Manchester’s Galaxy 102. He’s also worked at Key 103 which is where he and Jo first worked together, moving from the world of music radio into speech radio.

Nicksy presented Key’s talk show with Jo as his producer, and more recently the pair had a Friday night show on Liverpool’s City Talk 105.9, Newlove FM is their third reincarnation! Now you’ll find Nicksy at Heart in Wrexham, and you’ll find Jo changing nappies.

Joanne Lowe
Jo has 13 years experience in radio. She’s gone from news reader, to news editor, to co-host, producer, even website manager at one point, and is now here at Newlove FM where she’s also co-hosting a week day show with Nicksy and is one of the Programme Directors. So far she’s worked at Wish FM, Wire FM, had a brief stint in telly, at Key103, and most recently Liverpool’s City Talk 105.9. Now her main job is being a Mum.

Born in Australia Jo moved to England when she was 8 and has been looking for the sunshine ever since. It was tough for the young girl with a funny voice, and it still is, she still has a funny voice. Besides her radio career, Jo has had lots of other jobs which gives her plenty to talk about, like working on a market stall, in a pink wafer biscuit factory, and even giving out winnings at the races before she got a proper job. In fact, Jo talks a lot.
